a wee break

it's been a while since i've made a post. i was out of town for a few days (which i will probably post about shortly) and i've been working on a bunch of shoots so i haven't been around my computer. the break has been kinda nice, since i find that even when i mean to just quickly check my email, i get sucked into so much more.......checking for fabric, stopping in on various blogs to see how everyone is doing, creating new playlists in itunes...it goes on and on.

well, i did manage to update the shop a few days ago with this new bunny in lilac with grey. i love the combo!




and this little elephant was just posted again today.

i posted this new bunny in the shop on saturday. i love this little bunny, she is such a soft wool and cashmere blend. and i also love the folklore print on her belly.

can you please take this off me now?

here is an update on sara- the healing is about the same, there is still some clotting in her ear, so we have to take her back in on tuesday morning to see where to go from there. they gave her a new head wrap and she is looking a little less jacob marley and a little more batman (or pirate). they love her at the vet so they took the time to cut out little white spots and a bone for her forehead.
i think she's had enough. ka-pow!

healing

this is what our dog sara has been going through the last couple of days. (she would be very embarrassed if she knew people were looking at this, she is pretty bashful) her ear had to be taped to her head after some surgery that wasn't healing properly. this picture was captured on a rare moment when she wasn't encased by the cone.



to get through the sadness and to encourage healing, i have been watching this non-stop. i may be a little late to hop on board the flight of the conchords train, but, wow-i can't stop laughing at them! i also recommend watching 'business time' and 'hiphopopotamus vs. rhymenoceros' , 'think about it' and 'foux da fa fa' . so good. i wish we had HBO.

yesterday

we went to see the darjeeling ltd. yesterday since it was raining so hard (plus we haven't been to a movie in months. seriously. it might even be more like a year) i really enjoyed the film. i thought it was so beautiful to watch, and i thoroughly enjoyed each brother's neuroses. i love jason schwartzman. i think he is extremely talented. i really like his latest album nighttiming .



we also went to a new store (well, it's new to me, i hadn't noticed it before) called 'yokoyaya'. it's a daiso type store, meaning it's a japanese dollar store (although this one sells items for one dollar, two dollar, three dollar, as it says on the sign outside) i was frugal and just bought a few candy items. (i like the faces of the animals) i also picked up some more paper lanterns in chinatown.



and of course, had to check out the fabric store and left with this stack of wool and linen. score!
