love letters

i'm busy packing, doing laundry, baking muffins and various other tasks to prepare for our little road trip to the okanagan this weekend. i sure hope the weather picks up a little, but if not, i'm sure we can manage eating lots of great food, drinking some wine and reading good books.

i'll leave you with a favorite song of mine- love letters by ketty lester. it reminds me of home (my brother has a ton of old 45's that he would play and this was on heavy rotation) i love her voice and it is definitely one of my all time faves.

creepy

yesterday morning while i was walking our dog sara home from the vet, i did a double take at this window. i thought this was a little boy, with blood on his sweater. but it was just a super creepy mannequin child.

etsy makes me spend money

i bought these russian nesting dolls recently from this etsy shop. love them.

shop update on monday

i will be having a small shop update on monday august 25th at 11:00am PDT (2:00pm EDT) with a couple of new plush bears. this one will be there. he has a beautiful belly made of nani iro fabric, so soft!
there will be a few others there as well.

bounty

today consisted of picking 7 lbs of fresh, organic blueberries at a friends blueberry farm, then being given some fresh veggies from her garden. then a quick stop into the beaches at white rock. so relaxing.

rainbow

there was a beautiful rainbow outside our window on saturday. i happened to notice it during one of the few hours i was awake. (i was in bed sick most of the weekend)

whenever it rains i always check this one spot, it almost always has a rainbow in it.

bunny in the shop

i just listed a sweet little lilac bunny in the shop. it's belly and ears are made from one of my favorite japanese fabrics, little houses and trees. it's so sweet and soft.
