c'est l'halloween!

(i was recently reminded of the french song from my childhood "c'est l'halloween" by this lovely lady and it has been stuck in my head since. which i've been loving. hence the title for this post)

this is my saturday afternoon snack. it is what my grandma refers to as 'happy hour'.

hey winter, yeah, i'm talkin' to you.......

i recently bought this handknit, organic wool togue at liquid clothing (no website but they've moved from kitsilano to 2337 main st ) and couldn't be happier. now i actually want one of our fleeting bouts of snow! i wish i could say that i knit it myself but the art of circular knitting has evaded me. rats.
oh well, i did pick up some grey alpaca to make a scarf to go with it. straight knitting, now that's something i can do (sometimes).

patterns

i'm usually a solid grey, black or navy gal (with the exception of stripes, i love a striped top and i own many with varying colors and stripe widths) but this fall i tend to be gravitating towards patterns. this is a recent dress purchase (thank you h&m ) and a recent scarf purchase. (thank you eugene choo)

batty

i have just added a few more bats to the shop. cute for halloween, or to have hanging around all year perhaps? (i guess it depends how much you like bats)

fall is here

there is a definite crispness in the air. the leaves are changing and i have cravings for soup, warm drinks and anything pumpkin flavored. fall is here. sweet.
it's my favorite season.
