we went to the IDS west this weekend (which was nice, alot of familiar faces and work there) and of course this was one of the two photos i took, at the entrance of the convention centre. (which is amazing BTW)
however i also took these photos on our walk back to the car, of the art deco marine building.

(click on the images if you want to see them in more detail)

i used to work a couple of buildings over, and after passing the marine building each day i guess i just kind of got used to it, took it's beauty for granted. well on sunday it was like i was seeing for the first time. it is so beautiful!

i love the canada geese and the ship detail.

How was the show, kate? Great pics of the Marine Building...one of the few oldies still standing in Vancouver.
I love this building, the Landscape Institute lives here! It is a shame it feels so hidden away opposite a multi-storey car park!
great photos! such a beautiful building - i haven't been by there in ages. i used to work in the guinness tower + bring documents to clients in the marine building - always a perk to my days in the law offices!
