alice loves to chew on tags. i'm thinking most babies do? it's her favorite part of the toy, until i'm a buzzkill and remove them. to make up for it, i made her a toy full of tags that she can safely chew on. i got the idea from lotta jansdotter's simple sewing for baby, except i didn't have any ribbon so i made/used some various bias binding i had.

 she was skeptical at first.

then she decided it was clearly more fun to thrash around instead of chew on.

still more fun to thrash.

until we went for a walk and she happily chewed on it the whole way in her stroller.
no picture of that needed. it's in the wash now.

such a great idea! hadley received a little cloth book of tags when she was a baby - she loved it! this one that you made is so pretty - cute print :)

I love the storybook fabric you used. The tags were my baby grandaughter's favorites too; especially the Ikea toy tags, (more tag than toy in some cases)

Such a cute idea!

Question - do you know what the cream fabric with red/orange swirls on it is?

thanks so much ladies! it's now also a fave for tossing it on her head and then her ripping it away. endless fun!

hannahip- that fabric is by moda and it's called 'in the woods' by holly taylor for moda, but it was from a long time ago and i'm not sure how easy it is to find now. i love that print! good luck!
